Technology & Evolving Industries
For three decades H&M Electric has powered the technology that can't go dark — carrier telecommunications, aerospace and advanced manufacturing, and research laboratories. That same critical-power discipline is the foundation for the work we're now growing into: EV charging, data centers, and energy storage.
Telecommunications & carrier-grade power
Telecommunications switch sites and central offices carry their own discipline: DC power plants, battery strings, rectifiers, and grounding schemes engineered for continuous service. H&M has delivered the electrical scope for a telecommunications switch and data environment, where the power and grounding infrastructure had to meet the always-on demands of a carrier network.
Carrier-grade work is unforgiving of shortcuts. Redundant paths, tight grounding, and thorough commissioning are how we prove a site will stay up when a component fails — the same standard that any critical-power environment demands.
Aerospace & advanced manufacturing
Aerospace and advanced manufacturing bring heavy industrial power, process distribution, and the coordination that comes with building around live production. We have supported a global aerospace manufacturer's facilities, wiring the high-capacity distribution and equipment power that large-scale manufacturing runs on — on schedules that respect an active plant.
Whether the load is a factory floor or a carrier switch, the common thread is reliability at scale: distribution engineered, installed, and documented to keep critical operations running.
Research & laboratory power
Research and invention environments demand flexible, clean, and reliable power for sensitive instruments and rapidly changing programs. H&M built the electrical infrastructure for an invention laboratory, delivering the distribution, dedicated circuits, and low-voltage pathways that let researchers reconfigure their work without fighting the building. (This work overlaps closely with our biomedical and life-sciences practice.)
Lab power sits at the intersection of commercial construction and critical-environment discipline: emergency power for select equipment, grounding for sensitive instrumentation, and coordination with mechanical and process systems. We plan for change, because research spaces rarely stay the way they were designed.
Evolving industries: EV charging, data centers & energy storage
The grid is changing, and so is the work. Electric-vehicle charging, data centers, and battery energy storage are among the fastest-growing electrical markets in the region — and they run on exactly the critical-power distribution, redundancy, and standby generation H&M has installed for thirty years.
These are jobs we are actively pursuing more of. Our carrier telecom, aerospace, and energy-facility experience gives us a real foundation for them: service and switchgear upgrades, UPS and standby generation, redundant distribution, and the load management that networked EV charging and data halls require.
If you're planning a charging deployment, a data or edge facility, or on-site energy storage, bring us in early. We'd rather help scope the power path from the start than inherit it — and we're building this part of our business deliberately. See our dedicated EV charging infrastructure service for more.

Frequently asked
Questions buyers ask us
Does H&M Electric do EV charging and data-center work?
Yes — it is a deliberate growth area for us. H&M brings thirty years of critical-power distribution, redundancy, and standby-generation experience to EV charging, data centers, and energy storage, and we're actively pursuing more of this work. Bring us in early to scope the power path.
What experience does H&M have with critical power?
H&M has delivered carrier telecommunications power and grounding, aerospace and advanced-manufacturing distribution, energy-facility power, and research-lab infrastructure — the fault-tolerant distribution, redundancy, and standby generation that keep critical operations online.
Does H&M work in aerospace and advanced-manufacturing facilities?
Yes. H&M has supported a global aerospace manufacturer and other industrial environments, delivering high-capacity distribution and equipment power on schedules that accommodate active production. Industrial and critical-power work has been part of our scope for more than 30 years.
Can H&M install and commission standby generators and UPS?
Yes. H&M installs generator plants, paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches, UPS systems, and the associated fuel and control systems, then proves them through functional testing so the standby source performs when the utility fails.
What does N+1 redundancy mean?
N+1 redundancy means a critical-power system has one more component than it strictly needs to carry the load. If any single UPS, generator, or distribution path fails or is taken down for maintenance, the remaining capacity still supports the full load with no interruption.
